Pietro Franceschini

Pietro Franceschini is an Italian architect and designer born in Florence and currently based in Milan. After completing his architectural education at Università degli Studi di Firenze and at Pratt Institute in New York, he developed an international outlook shaped by collaborations with studios in Europe and the United States. In 2020 he founded PF|Studio, an interior and furniture design practice through which he explores the boundaries between sculpture and functional objects. Franceschini defines his approach as Virtual Surrealism, a design language where digital renderings and physical fabrication coexist. His objects are conceived as fictional entities that carry the memory of their immaterial origin, even when translated into marble, wood or metal. This tension between imagination and matter becomes central to his work. Within the collaboration with Serafini, this vision finds a natural expression in marble design. Franceschini engages marble as a material capable of embodying friction, contrast and narrative depth, transforming each piece into a sculptural presence rooted in both craft and fiction.
