Cut and fold redefine stone, inspiring interaction
"Cutting and folding means creating a whole new element through the sequence of two simple actions. Starting from a rectangular slab, the cutting action draws new geometries on the plane by separating different areas which, however, always remain partially attached through some appendages. The second action consists in achieving the imaginary bending of a material that is impossible to fold, the stone. The top of the console remains parallel to the ground and still joined to two sets of legs laterally. While these are doubled from the table top until reaching the perpendicularity with it. The result is an object with extreme sinuosity and lightness capable of involving the user for the conceptual strength necessary to fold the non-foldable."
About
Cut and fold is obtained by cutting the selected block with a single-blade, thus bringing it to its maximum dimensions. After this process, the block is shaped thanks to a 7-axis robot that sculpts the shape by machining the block at 360 degrees. At the end of this machining our craftsmen take the piece into custody and apply the finishes chosen by the end customer. Finally, the piece is carefully packed and shipped.

They feature exclusive, unique, and unrepeatable characteristics, such as color veins in different shades, and may differ from reference images, scale models, and sample materials provided. All references are always indicative to facilitate customer understanding.
The block, due to its natural characteristics, may potentially present cracks or fractures where there is greater fragility, as these are unpredictable. Any imperfections present, attributable to the naturalness of the stones, may be glued or resin-treated, but they do not constitute a defect.
Adequate packaging is used to ensure the safety of the product during shipment. Wooden crates secure the products in the appropriate and efficient position. The customer must open and inspect the material within eight (8) days of receipt, in compliance with the legal term. In case of breakage, the customer must report it within this period to be entitled to the warranty. Assemble according to the suggested instructions.
