COFFEE TABLE

Nastro

DESIGN by

Greg Natale

Material in motion shaped through subtraction

Nastro Coffee Table exists at the intersection between object and environment, where marble is shaped not through addition but through subtraction. Designed by Greg Natale, the table draws inspiration from the slow cumulative forces that define natural landscapes, translating erosion and flow into a continuous sculptural form. The volume appears carved by invisible currents, allowing voids and channels to emerge from what remains of the solid mass. Produced by Serafini, Nastro Coffee Table challenges the traditional perception of marble as static and inert, presenting instead a material in flux. The surface flows uninterrupted, guiding the eye and the body around the object while dissolving the boundary between solid and space. Luxury is expressed through restraint and control, where marble design becomes an exploration of movement rather than weight.

FLOW

A centre table without orientation or hierarchy

Nastro Coffee Table rejects fixed perspectives and conventional hierarchies. It has no defined front or back, no clear beginning or end. As it is approached from different angles, the table continuously changes its profile, appearing at times monolithic and at others light and open. Designed by Greg Natale for Serafini, this ambiguity is intentional and deeply connected to the influence of futurist art and architecture. References to Zaha Hadid and Giacomo Balla emerge in the kinetic perception of form, where structure becomes an experience of motion and spatial continuity. The table invites a figurative reading of marble shaped by invisible forces, aligning the object with a vision of design rooted in energy, acceleration and transformation. Within contemporary living spaces, Nastro Coffee Table acts as a dynamic presence that evolves throughout the day.

Custom marble sculpture by Serafini

Manufactured by Serafini with a strong focus on material integrity and craftsmanship, Nastro Coffee Table is conceived as a fully custom marble product. Dimensions, finishes and marble selection can be adapted to specific interior contexts, reinforcing the uniqueness of each piece. While green onyx emphasizes translucency and depth, the design can be reinterpreted through other marble surfaces, allowing the form to take on different identities while preserving its expressive logic. Intended as a centre table, Nastro balances solid and void, weight and lightness, anchoring the room without imposing upon it. Designed by Greg Natale and crafted by Serafini, the table embodies a singular expression of luxury marble design where furniture and sculpture converge within contemporary living environments.

The uniqueness of marble creation

Serafini s.r.l. informs consumers, clients, and third parties in general that:

All of its products have the required characteristics that ensure normal operation and safety in use.

They are made from natural stone blocks: they feature exclusive, unique, and unrepeatable characteristics, such as color veins in different shades, and may differ from reference images, scale models, and sample materials provided. All references are always indicative to facilitate customer understanding.

The block, due to its natural characteristics, may potentially present cracks or fractures where there is greater fragility, as these are unpredictable. Any imperfections present, attributable to the naturalness of the stones, may be glued or resin-treated, but they do not constitute a defect.

Adequate packaging is used to ensure the safety of the product during shipment. Wooden crates secure the products in the appropriate and efficient position. The customer must open and inspect the material within eight (8) days of receipt, in compliance with the legal term. In case of breakage, the customer must report it within this period to be entitled to the warranty. Assemble according to the suggested instructions.
