The raising of marble, an homage to a place
Shān console is an arch of stone inspired by a mountain's majestic shape. Tianmen Shān is heaven’s gateway located in the northwestern part of Hunan province, in China, a massive naturals arch that pierced the mountain making a unique setting. The light envelopes it and across it creating a choreography of light and shadow that donate dynamism and variety. This console is inspired by that location, a magical place, hard to fully understand. Something unique pushes Shān to be such, its sinuous shapes created thanks to the combination of soft and taut lines, give life to its surfaces.
BOLDNESS
A bold soul
Carved from a single block of marble, the only material of which it is composed, the console carries with it the strong character of the stone. Its decisive shape rests on two massive bases and rises towards the top, maintaining continuity. The lines that portray it start from the center, opening outwards and then abruptly stopping to define its shape and create support. Shan celebrates the majesty of marble.
About
Shan is carved from a single block of marble that is initially squared with the use of a single-blade machine and shaped by a metal wire. At this point, the block is milled on all sides by a 5-axis robot that sculpts and defines the shape. Once all the machining is finished, our expert craftsmen take the piece, polish it, and apply the chosen finish, thus transforming this luxurious stone into a magnificent design piece ready to be packed and shipped to the customer.

Nicolò Corradi a nomad multidisciplinary designer collaborates with Serafini to understand the needs of the company, mixing his radical and contrasting vision with Serafini's one, creating images and videos, following all the communication aspects, and designing products for the brand.
