FREESTANDING WASHBASIN
Epsilon
DESIGN by
Marco Ravina
An archetypal composition between geometry and matter
Epsilon lavabo is conceived as an encounter between archetype and material, where geometric rigor meets sculptural sensitivity. Designed by Marco Ravina, the project is not intended as a purely functional object but as an autonomous presence capable of defining the space it inhabits. Produced by Serafini, Epsilon transforms the bathroom into a place of identity and character, where architecture and marble enter into a refined dialogue. Its expressive strength elevates the environment, turning a daily ritual into an aesthetic experience. Marble is treated as a living material, shaped to convey permanence, depth and symbolic meaning. The design reflects a vision of luxury marble design where form carries memory and the bathroom becomes a space of contemplation rather than mere utility.

ARCHETYPE

A dialogue of primary forms and symbolic references
The composition of Epsilon lavabo is articulated through distinct yet complementary elements. The triangular basin emerges as a decisive and essential form, recalling one of the most powerful archetypes in the history of geometry and visual culture. The triangle conveys stability and dynamic tension and in alchemical symbolism the downward-pointing triangle represents water, the fluid principle of transformation and interior depth. This geometry amplifies the symbolic value of the basin, turning the act of washing into a contemplative gesture. Beneath it, the sculptural base evokes the verticality of the column, an archetype of support and order that has traversed architectural history. Its progressive form recalls the ziggurat, a symbol of ascent and sacredness, reinterpreted here in a contemporary marble design language.
Custom marble craftsmanship for refined bathroom spaces
At the crown of the composition, a spherical element introduces balance and synthesis, softening the vertical tension with a silent and timeless presence. Crafted by Serafini with artisanal precision, Epsilon lavabo is conceived as a fully custom marble product. Dimensions, finishes and marble selection can be adapted to specific bathroom projects, ensuring each piece remains unique. The natural veining of the marble enhances the primary geometries, making every lavabo irreproducible. Designed by Marco Ravina and manufactured by Serafini, Epsilon embodies a vision of luxury bathroom design rooted in memory, material integrity and customization. The lavabo transcends function to become a sculptural narrative, where marble affirms itself as a noble and expressive material shaping contemporary bathroom spaces.

The uniqueness of marble creation
Serafini s.r.l. informs consumers, clients, and third parties in general that:
All of its products have the required characteristics that ensure normal operation and safety in use.
They are made from natural stone blocks: they feature exclusive, unique, and unrepeatable characteristics, such as color veins in different shades, and may differ from reference images, scale models, and sample materials provided. All references are always indicative to facilitate customer understanding.
The block, due to its natural characteristics, may potentially present cracks or fractures where there is greater fragility, as these are unpredictable. Any imperfections present, attributable to the naturalness of the stones, may be glued or resin-treated, but they do not constitute a defect.
Adequate packaging is used to ensure the safety of the product during shipment. Wooden crates secure the products in the appropriate and efficient position. The customer must open and inspect the material within eight (8) days of receipt, in compliance with the legal term. In case of breakage, the customer must report it within this period to be entitled to the warranty. Assemble according to the suggested instructions.
