Serafini presents LIFE, the new sustainable indoor furniture designed by Donato Santoro, a well-known Italian designer, who wanted to transform a simple personal hygiene room into an exclusive, relaxing and vital space.
LIFE allows the user to be introduced to a new bathroom concept in which the solidity of marble meets the organic nature of vegetation. This combination creates a perfect synergy of natural elements that spontaneously draw the silhouette of the washbasin, making it a particularly elegant object that can be placed in any type of environment whether modern or classic, allowing it to immediately attract the attention of observers.
GREEN
An idea to bring life into your bathroom.
Slanted bag-shaped holes, positioned along the solid cylindrical surface of the marble, house long-lasting plants (perennials) that are easy to grow and characterized by their respective beneficial properties.
This is a project whose goal is to improve the indoor air quality of the bathroom. Plants do not just decorate. They also give color, provide energy. They are also very efficient inside our homes, which is where we spend most of our time. They are able to absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. In addition, plants are able to neutralize so-called "VOCs," volatile organic compounds, such as smoke, formaldehyde and cleaning products. Vegetation can be of great help to us if we let it into our indoor spaces along with our outdoor spaces.
About
The cylindrical shape of Life is obtained by cutting a block of marble with a wire, once this cylinder of marble is obtained the piece is shaped and hollowed out by a five-axis robot capable of processing the material absolutely precisely. At the end of these processes the piece is polished by hand by our experienced craftsmen who will also apply the chosen finish. Finally, the product is assembled and shipped according to customer specifications.
